Meet Susan
I am Susan Mouton, soon to be Barnes, and the owner of Barnes Homestead Financial Solutions, LLC. I am a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Texas and a Chartered Accountant from South Africa, where my career began. My work has brought me to the U.S., and since 2018, I am proud to call Houston, Texas my home.
I began my career in public accounting, working with clients across a wide range of industries. Later, I moved into a corporate role focused on financial reporting, gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. After stepping away from my career briefly, I took time to reflect on my core values and discovered a passion for using my expertise to support small business owners in a more meaningful and personalized way.
I started Barnes Homestead Financial Solutions, LLC, to do just that. With over a decade of experience in public and corporate accounting, my goal is to provide small business owners with reliable, personalized bookkeeping and financial support, so they can focus on building their business with confidence.
